École Holt Couture School of Couture Sewing and Design concept is truly unique therefore, we have designed a PowerPoint presentation for your information to help you decide if EHC is the right fit for you.
Everyone interested in enrolling in Ecole Holt Couture is required to attend this prearranged presentation to answer questions, further explain EHC’s mission and goals, instructional methods, and to help each potential applicant make an informed decision about enrollment.
If you live outside the Calgary area, these presentations may be arranged by appointment with the school’s Public Relations representative when in your geographical area. Alternatively, if you reside outside the Calgary area and are unable to attend a presentation, an orientation interview can be held by telephone, arranged by contacting the Registrar.
- Applicants must be able to communicate in the English language.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- An aptitude for sewing or fashion is required
- Students must agree to application and admission terms and requirements.
**International Students – EHC is unable to accept international students at this time.**
For Study Permits or Temporary Resident Visas, please direct inquiries to ‘Citizenship and Immigration Canada Agency’. Note that to organize proper documentation, one must apply at least 9 months to a year in advance before making application. Letters of acceptance are given as proof of enrollment when fees have been paid for the program in their entirety.
Each school Year begins in September and ends the following June, consisting of 3 Terms which run 10 consecutive weeks each Fall, Winter and Spring. Classes are held twice weekly for 10 hours per week plus compulsory lab work of 30 hours per week.
Check with the Registrar regarding the current calendar and schedules and for the next intake of students.
Very important: Students must have access to a dedicated work space or studio in which to do homework projects and assignments. Ideally a separate room, with good natural, ambient and task lighting, is self contained and protected from through traffic and everyday disturbances. (Using your kitchen or dining area is not acceptable).
